Black Catholic History Month
On July 24, 1990, to recognize and celebrate the contributions of Black Catholics to the Catholic Church, the National Black Catholic Clergy Caucus of the United States voted to designate November as Black Catholic History Month. This month recognizes and celebrates culture, history, and contributions of Black people, and it marks a time to share in remembrance the long history and proud heritage of Black Catholics.
