The Jazz Mass “Our Father” will open the program. Fr. Mathew Hawkins will introduce the agenda and offer a few observations on the significance of Dr. King and how Catholics can embrace his mission.
Keynote speaker, Esther Bush, will present remarks honoring Dr. King’s legacy and ongoing efforts to continue the quest for an equitable and fair society.
The poster and essay elementary school contest winners will be announced. The essay winners will read their short essays with the theme: ‘DR MARTIN LUTHER KING JR ”Never Give Up the Dream”.
