Almsgiving is one of the three pillars of Lent, along with prayer and fasting. Almsgiving may be considered as justice towards neighbors. One way is to contribute to those in need through the parish, St. Vincent de Paul Society, Catholic Relief Services, or one of the many worthwhile organizations in our city and country.
